Ammas recipe of Capsicum Curry

Moms recipe for capsicum bhaji

This is a v. easy yet yummy sabzi....

Each mouthful with hot phulkas take me back to my bachpan.. In a sleepy Alwal...

My Amma had to cook for a battalion of youngsters...

So simple hearty dishes ruled the dining table. No frills.
This is one amongst those simple dishes...

Capsicum thinly sliced 4

Make a paste of -
1 medium onion,
A tsp of ginger garlic paste and some salt.
Tomatoes ground 2small

Chilly powder 1/2 to 1tsp

Turmeric 1/2 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp(optional)

Jeera 1/2 tsp

Beaten curd 2 tbsp

Salt to taste.

Heat oil and add the jeera.

Adds the onion and ginger garlic paste.

Saute till golden brown

Add the chilly powder, turmeric powder and garam masala.

Add ground tomato and saute on high flame..for 2 to 3 mins.

Add beaten curd and saute till the mixture leaves oil.

Add the sliced capsicum and mix well.

Check for seasonings.

Cover and cook on medium to high flame for two to three mins.

Stir and check the capsicum... It should not be mushy... Should be crisp and yummy...

Don't allow it to over cook.

Take off heat and serve hot with phulkas or parathas.

If you are a capsicum fan ,like will have this on your menu.. Regularly 😋
