Shakarkandi fries [baked] [Sweet potato fries]
I love sweet potato and only like to have them with some chatpata spicy coat.Made them today ..they smell divine and taste yumm...a medley of spicy,sweet and salty..
Have them crunchy or "soft melting in the mouth"...choice is yours.I love it soft
The rains always remind me of the spicy sweet combination..wonder why...but they tingle on my tounge and bring flavors of the season..makes me extra happy and content.Warm treats like these are best accompanied with giggling company and pots of hot adark chai...blissssssss...
Shakarkandi [sweet potato]cut into fries[match stick or otherwise -2 cups
Flame roasted red chilly -powdered 1 tbsp[reduce the amt if you dont like it spicy]
ground pepper-1/2 tsp
garlic flakes-1/2 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
oregano[optional]-1/2 tsp
salt
oil for rubbing over the fries
Pre heat oven to 200 deg.Rub 2 to 3 tsp of oil over the cut sweet potato .Sprinkle the spice mix over it and rub in with your fingers.Bake for 15 mins..comes soft and yumm..if you want it crispier,continue for another 5 to 10 mins...while monitoring it...
have with tea or serve with khaana
