Bassa has become a favorite in our family,be it curry or fry..the buttery soft ,melt on the tongue fillets are a delight to cook and eat. Shall post the recipe for my bassa fish curry later.
This recipe serves 4
Bassa fillets-4[cut into bite size pieces...4 whole fillets will yield 16 to 20 pieces..depending on how small or big you cut it]
For masala-
1 egg
maida-3 tbsp
chilly powder-1 tsp
turmeric -1/2 tsp
Dhania powder 1/2 tsp
salt to taste and
few tsps of water to blend it all into a thick paste
Mix the ingredients for the masala ,and smear it on the bassa fillets.I made an addition of sumac powder to add a zing to it ...Marinate for 15 mins.
Shallow fry .. .I did 3 min each side on a medium flame ..Serve hot
yummylicious.
