Desi Baked Fish

My Family and me love fish in any form.Off late we have taken to baked fish, different fish, baked differently :)
So its never been a problem for me.Fish baked with least oil,yet polished away in a jiffy .
Though my favorite fish is Pomfret, the family loves Surmai /King fish. And since one piece suffices for one serving,I find it the best bet.

Here goes the recipe.
King fish/Any other fish[meatier the better]-1kg
Onion -1 big
Ginger-1/2 inch pc
Garlic-4 to 5 cloves
Chilly powder-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Goda masala[optional]-1 tsp
Curry leaves-2 springs
Coconut oil[or any otheroil]-1 tsp
Salt to taste

Wash n drain the fish pieces and keep aside.
Make a paste of all the ingredients excelt the fish ofcourse :) and check for salt.
Smear the paste on the fish,on both sides[a few drops of water can be added to make the paste a little lighter]Marinate for 15 to 20 mins
Pre heat the oven [180 degrees] and in that time, line a baking tray with aluminium foil and grease the foil.
Place the fish on the foil and bake at 180 deg for 15 to 20 mins.Over turn fish and bake for another 5 mins.Serve with fresh salad.
Yummmmm
close up
serve with a whole lot of vegetables
